Southfield

BASF Corporation's Southfield, Michigan, complex houses the management activities of the Coatings and Colorants Division's Automotive OEM Coatings, Automotive Refinish and Industrial Coatings business groups in the NAFTA region. Additional uses for the complex include the Coatings Research Center for the Automotive OEM Coatings and Industrial Coatings groups; Applications Research Center for the Automotive Refinish and Industrial Coatings groups; and the Coatings Marketing Center of the Automotive OEM Coatings and Industrial Coatings groups. The BASF Southfield complex was built in 1983, acquired by BASF in 1985, is on 17,3 acres of land and consists of four buildings with a total size of 366.000 square feet. Approximately 420 employees work at the complex.2,000 square feet.
