Woodward dream cruise

Traffic jammin’

Bumper-to-bumper traffic is usually a nightmare, but in Detroit it is a festive occasion when a host of classic cars go on parade as part of the spectacular Woodward Dream Cruise. Every year in August some 40,000 vintage models from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s ranging from beefy road cruisers to flashy sports cars take part up and down Woodward Avenue in the world’s largest single-day automotive event. In 2008, the BASF Coatings team was back on Woodward, greeting hundreds of customers and their families at the BASF Baja Beach Club. The high point was a visit by automotive designer Chip Foose, who thrilled customers at the BASF event in a 90-minute autograph session.
