Quickly finding the right color

Technology for finding the right color in automotive refinishing is becoming increasingly sophisticated. Glasurit has now come out with a portable, battery-operated device called Glasurit RATIO Scan II that analyzes the color right off the car body. The analysis data is fed to a PC where it is used to reference suitable color chips and their mixing formulas in the Color Profi System.

Regular updates ensure that precisely matching solutions can be found for even the latest colors. The paint needed can be mixed right on the computer scales and saved as a customer color. “It significantly speeds up color identification, is easy to use, and can save colors for day-to-day use – all in all it is an effective system for our customers,” says Michel Bodeson, Glasurit’s product manager for topcoats and color systems..
