A special car (CP 2/2009)
The electric sportscar Lampo was a big hit at the Geneva Automobile Salon in
March 2009 – thanks in part to its paintjob.
The Lampo, which is the Italian word for lightning,
is a prototype vehicle made by Protoscar, located in Ticino.
For 20 years the company has been developing environmentally friendly solar
and electrical vehicles like the Lampo, a 268 hp sports car running on advanced
lithium ion battery technology.

The car’s dynamic design accentuates its power and elegance, and so does its
paintjob.
It was developed by BASF Coatings Designer Eva Höfli, who selected a bright,
blue-green silver for the car body and a brown color with a bronze effect for
the add-on parts.
Protoscar and BASF have been working together for years in the development
of energy-saving and pro-environment products.
