Relius Coatings certified for offshore wind turbines by Germanischer Lloyd.

Germanischer Lloyd, one of the world’s most prominent certification companies for the maritime industry, inspected and certified five Relius coating systems for offshore wind turbines.

Relius Coatings thus became the first company to receive such highly respected certification in this area. As a leading producer of industrial and architectural coatings throughout Europe, Relius Coatings offers an entire array of specialized coatings for offshore wind turbines, which not only have to meet stringent technical and ecological requirements but also have to withstand extreme weather conditions. By issuing this first-ever certification for coating systems, Germanischer Lloyd has underscored the importance of protecting the supporting structures of offshore wind turbines, which are built for a minimum 20 years’ useful life.
