The first three-level custom paint job seminar with CARIZZMA by R-M^® was held in Germany in 2009 and turned out to be a success.

In the first part, six refinishing technicians from customer shops learned about details and application techniques for R-M’s ONYX HD waterborne basecoat system in addition to basic design techniques like burled wood and marbling effects.

More sophisticated techniques like 3D, masking and skilled use of the airbrush gun were the focus of the second seminar segment. In the exciting third part of the course, European custom paint champion, Gerd Müller, instructed the participants about creative design and the execution of custom paint jobs specially requested by customers.

This new type of seminar will be rolled out in 2010. It will allow R-M bodyshops who are willing to integrate the customization and personalization of cars into their business model to deliver perfection to car owners. Courses are already in planning for 2010 and the seminar concept is also being tested in other countries.
