Münster/São Paulo. The year 2008 was “the” year for Suvinil in
Brazil. The BASF Coatings' decorative paint brand received a proud 12 awards
during the past year. This confirms BASF Coatings’ leading position in the
areas of construction and decorative paints in Brazil.
“Every award that we receive from companies, the media or market research
institutions is a reward for us,” said Francisco Verza, BASF’s head of
decorative paints for South America. “Our activities are strongly focused on
the development of innovative products. We want to communicate viability,
convenience and well-being to our customers. The awards demonstrate to us that
we are on the right track," said Verza.
Suvinil received the following awards: “Anamaco,” “Top Anamaco,” “Prêmio
PINI,” “Prêmio Artesp,” “Marcas de Confiança“ (Revista Seleções),
“Melhor Produto do Ano“ (Grupo Revenda), “Top Marcas e Top Masters

Minas Gerais“ (Revista Mercado Comum), “Top of Mind Folha de S. Paulo“,
“Top of Mind Casa & Mercado“ and “Melhores do Ano” (Jornal do
Pintor).
Innovation, product quality and expert staff are all factors for
success
Suvinil's success is due in part to the paint “Suvinil Látex Maxx,” which is
extremely durable and achieves 40 percent higher productivity at the same time.
The portfolio of odor-free acrylic-based paints was also a major contributor to
the brand's success in 2008. With this product, the painted area is odor free
just three hours after application.
“Innovation and the commitment to quality, combined with highly qualified
expert staff, is the recipe for products such as low-odor paints. They not only
meet customer requirements, but also lead to recognition and satisfaction in
all aspects of the market we serve,” Verza added.
