Yellow offers a safer ride for schoolchildren

Abu Dhabi. The government of the United Arab Emirates has made a clear decision with regard to the safety of the nation's schoolchildren: All school buses throughout the seven emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Umm al-Qaiwain and Ras al-Khaimah must now be painted yellow. The transportation authority issued clear instructions to have the buses refinished in RAL 1018 yellow. This meant repainting 2,500 buses. The government of the United Arab Emirates chose the R-M importer in the United Arab Emirates, Al-Dahiya Auto Spare Parts LLC, to be main supplier.

The requirements for the paint were high because the paint finish of vehicles used in hot climates has to withstand intense UV radiation and aggressive sandstorms, but must still present a first-class and robust appearance. R-M went with UNO HD for the refinishing work, thus guaranteeing sustainable results. R-M’s UNO HD topcoat met all these high standards.
