Münster Refinish Competence Centre

In September 2009 BASF Coatings opened its Glasurit®-branded Refinish Competence Centre (RCC) at its Münster site. This provides Glasurit, the company’s automotive refinish brand, with one of the world’s most modern educational and training facility in the automotive refinish field.

Automotive refinish work from A to Z

Two spraybooths plus a drying oven are the centerpiece of the RCC. Here, refinish operations from A to Z can be demonstrated on entire cars. Minor damage to cars - scratches in the paintwork, for instance - can be remedied at so-called multi-workplaces within the shortest possible time.

Panel and paint shop staff can choose from an extensive range of seminars, ranging from color matching to spot repair.

A major hub in the global network

A total of 36 training centers and 65 National Head Trainers, who pass on their know-how to customers and employees in their native countries, make up Glasurit’s global training network. Covering an area of 2,000 square meters, the Münster RCC is a major hub and center of competence in this global network.

However, it is not only to Glasurit, but to equipment & accessory manufacturers and suppliers too, that the RCC provides a platform on which to present their innovative technologies, services and products.
