IE5: Operations with rotating tools

 

Hazards:

Extremely fine dispersion and charging of the mixing components.

 

Protective measures:

Ensure that the tool is adequately covered by liquid.

No extremely fine dispersion with the formation of an electrostatically charged mist is likely when using liquid coatings with the agitation speeds used in practice in association with the limited dimensions of the agitation vessels.

The protective measure is therefore not absolutely necessary for explosion protection reasons when mixing paints, and consequently a special monitoring system to this end is not required.
